WHO's latest report shows that 93.5 percent of American Samoa overweight. Kiribati is second with 81.5% of the population.
U.S. ranked sixth with 66.7%, followed by Germany 66.5% and Egypt 66%. New Zealand is also present in the list at number 11 with 62.7% and the UK at number 15 with 60%.
Explaining the trend of obesity in the Pacific region, WHO said that the people have the switch on the diet. Previously, the traditional diet of the inhabitants of the Pacific usually low fat wealth carbonhidrat and as bananas, potatoes, roots, coconut and fish.
